Dear Spirit to Spirit friend,
As we continue our gentle walk through seasonal changes, paying close attention to how Nature and animals- our family members and the wild ones- respond, we can learn a lot about our own natural rhythm.
We are observing the sun shifting in her angle, her color a deeper gold and her warmth more finely attuned to certain hours of the day. We are watching our trees as the exploded in brilliance last month and now are shedding their final ornaments as they gather their energy deep into their roots.
And our animal family members- following the shift in sun, seeking out her warm glow on the rug or chair and the softness of comfy warmer things. Their energies also beginning to turn inward, leaning into winter's quiet yet still distant call.
The rhythms of Nature. The change in quality and quantity of light, the coolness, the sense of energy of the natural world slowly dropping inward to the root. We are all being invited to slow down and come into the Greater Stillness as inner life becomes more enlivened. A relaxing of the outer pace of life, a settling in, a movement into inner contemplation and deeper connection.
If we join our animals in this natural movement, we may find that unexpected doorways of communication and understanding open between us. For it is in this inner openness, inner quiet, inner stillness, that we can hear their voices more clearly.
A wonderful invitation to embrace. One that this season of sweet turning inward calls us to.
In Gratitude & Love, Joanna
