Dear Spirit to Spirit friend,
In the holiday season, we are invited- at every religious gathering, every family event, every festivity- to become aware of the love that is all around us. And to share the love inside us with family, friends, colleagues, and our communities.
The deeper invitation, always, is to open to the Love that is Greater than the personal- the Love- Spirit, God, Consciousness- that we all are- and see Its expression in and through us in our lives.
The ones who are very direct reminders of this...and demonstrate this Greater Love to us every day...are our animal family members. When we see them, feel them deeply, we cannot help but be touched by the feeling of Unconditional Love emanating from them. They are such a pure form and expression of this Love- right in our midst, closet to us. Our animals are the most beautiful reminders of the Love that is all of us and all life.
What a wonderful time to notice. To see, to feel, to allow the Great Love that is present in and as all living beings and all life, to move us into deeper compassion and care not only for those close to us but for all those who share our world, animal and human.
And all we need to do is look at our animal family members to remember....
